Project Archaeologist
Dovetail is accepting applications for a full-time Project Archaeologist based out of our Fredericksburg, Virginia office. Primary responsibilities center on the day-to-day management of, and participation in, archaeological projects of all types and sizes. The ideal candidate will be well-organized, with strong communication skills and broad experience in all phases of archaeological investigations. Preference will go to candidates with a specialized research skill, such as faunal or osteological analysis, and/or research interests in the history of the Mid-Atlantic, though prehistoric archaeologists are also encouraged to apply. Salary will be commensurate with experience, and the position is eligible for performance-based bonuses. Architectural Historian II

Dovetail is currently accepting applications for a full-time, senior-level Architectural Historian. While a Fredericksburg-based position is preferred, our Wilmington office will be considered for the right candidate. Primary responsibilities of this position center on the day-to-day management and performance of small- to large-scale projects. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and well-organized, with strong analytical and communication skills. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Archaeology Division Manager

Dovetail Cultural Resource Group is currently accepting applications for a full-time Archaeology Division Manager in our Virginia Office. The Division Manager job consists of approximately 30 percent staff management and administration (assigning projects and scheduling field crews, timesheet review, approval and/or coordination of training, general quality control, staff performance management, hiring) and 70 percent project-based tasks, to include writing proposals and budgets, writing and/or editing technical reports, managing projects, performing fieldwork, analyzing data, and coordinating with clients, agencies and other Dovetail managers and staff. Archaeological Technicians

Dovetail Cultural Resource Group is currently accepting applications for Archaeological Technicians in either our Fredericksburg, Virginia or Wilmington, Delaware office. Primary responsibilities of this position include performing archaeological fieldwork and data entry.
